This album is long awaited and a refreshing turn of artistic trajectory. After the release of the pop version of Venus which had her voice drowned out by excessive instrumentation it is nice to actually hear her sing again. Her voice is for the most part beautiful, relaxed. Some of the passages still verge on excessive however, It`s suspected her being told by handlers for so long that she has to belt out the words to sing over all those instruments. Nonetheless sometimes it sounds almost like a shade of Joan Baez...
